Lately, I've been feeling blocked creatively, unable to accomplish anything meaningful, and uncertain about what the future holds. I feel like time is flying by, and I want it to go slower, but I also wish it were next year when things are (hopefully) a little easier. If I try to rest, I have a ton of energy, and if I try to do something, I'm tired.

This has been a time of having so much creative energy and then sitting down to express it and just... struggling. Nothing looks the way I want it to, I feel like I lost all my skill (or maybe I never had any?!) and I’m buying way too many art supplies, because an old artist secret is that your skill directly correlates to the number of canvases you have piled up in your closet. 🤦🏻‍♀️⠀⠀⠀

Waiting for the cruise ship to go under the bridge... big stuff

When we went to Seattle a couple months ago, we decided it would be a good idea to pop up to Vancouver - did you know it’s only a three hour drive from Seattle? It was so crazy to me that it was basically like driving from Raleigh to Charlotte, except we were in a different country!

Vancouver is one of Canada’s largest cities, surrounded by mountains with an outdoorsy feel, and even though it’s a bit smaller than a lot of American cities, it feels bustling!
