Lisa + Joe’s minimal, modern, botanical wedding invitation suite
Lisa came to me with a very specific vision - modern, simple, elegant, and no script fonts. It was a refreshing change from the ‘more is more’ mentality that can slip into my work, and you know I love a girl who knows what she wants!
Lisa also loved the look of vintage botanical illustrations, so we were sure to incorporate those into her suite as well, keeping it very delicate and understated. I love the little burgundy flowers that add just a hint of color without being too overwhelming!
This suite was letterpress + flat printed, and I think the letterpress is what really took this to the next level. Letterpress has a way of taking something that might look a little boring on its own, and elevating it to this very considered, refined look. The texture changes are subtle, and hard to capture with a camera, but in person it’s always just such a wonderful experience!
I love the white space and clean feel of this understated suite - when you have minimal details, it’s important to make sure each one is very carefully considered, and I think this is one of those suites where each piece was given a lot of thought, and love.
