Caroline & Jared’s traditional yet modern copper invitation suite
Caroline and Jared’s wedding was to be held at her family farm, surrounded by the beautiful countryside, planned by Chelsey from Gather Together. She regularly makes event magic happen, so I knew from the start it was going to be good. Caroline had a really unique style, so I was immediately inspired by what she was thinking. We both loved copper, and since they were having a fall wedding, we knew that dark, moody accents were the way to go.

When we met, it quickly became apparent that her mom also had a strong vision for the wedding, which was a bit more traditional than Caroline originally wanted to go. It’s something that happens often - you want one thing, your mom wants the other, and it feels like it will be impossible to make everyone happy. Luckily, that is not usually the case! Sometimes a bride and her mom are really just approaching a solution from two different angles, and it’s up to me to figure out how to blend the styles in a way that makes everyone happy.

I love where we ended up - we stuck with a more traditional layout and typography, but included a hand-drawn tobacco leaf, copper accents, and a black envelope to give it the more modern feel that Caroline was looking for.
