I am a huge fan of the holidays. I grew up with a Jewish father and Catholic mother, and we kind of celebrated everything, so December was always a big time in our household - Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year’s… I loved it all! Even as an adult, I still find it such a fun time of year. I like holiday ‘chores’, like baking and wrapping presents, and I love the opportunity to see friends and family.

Once a year, I go a little nuts and bake way too many cookies. The tradition dates back to the early 2000s, when my middle school bff and I would get together and bake a ton of cookies - I think one year we made like 1000 - that’s how intense we would get. I no longer have such large number goals in mind, but my favorite thing to do around this time of year is get some cookies going! I think they make the perfect gift, you can freeze them and bring them out the whole season, and, if you’re me, you can get really ambitious trying to decorate them, and forget that you’re not actually trying to star on an episode of Great British Baking Show.

For a long time, people have been asking me about selling prints. It’s something I’ve been really interested in doing, but I haven’t quite been able to work it all out in terms of production. I want the quality to be amazing if I’m going to do it, and finding good vendors can take a while.

Lily and Anthony were having a Monet inspired garden wedding and I mean… how much dreamier can it get? Like everyone else in the world, I looove Monet, so I was beyond excited to work on this.

This suite was a special one for me, since I’m friends with Mollyann! Basically everyone in the Raleigh wedding industry knows Mollyann, because she is in the biz with us, running The Stockroom, a beautiful venue here in downtown Raleigh. She has impeccable taste, so I knew she’d have a beautiful wedding, and spoiler alert, I was right!

Reynolds and Nicole’s invitations were one for the books - I felt so lucky to get to be the one to bring their amazing vision into reality, because this was truly the most fun invitation to design!

Happy almost New Year! In honor of the upcoming holiday, today I thought I’d share the most FUN project I worked on last year. Doesn’t a wedding on New Year’s Eve, sound like it was an incredible way to start the year?

Rachael and Jesse’s whole suite started out with an illustration of their venue for their save the dates, and I’ll be honest - it got a little out of hand. I am totally in love with this suite - let’s talk alll about it!

Lisa came to me with a very specific vision - modern, simple, elegant, and no script fonts. It was a refreshing change from the ‘more is more’ mentality that can slip into my work, and you know I love a girl who knows what she wants!

Caitlyn was a total sweetheart to work with. I just loved spending time with her and her mom - it was so evident that this was a truly joyous time for both of them, and it made my days better to share in their excitement!
