The accommodations card is a smaller card that suggests lodging for your out of town guests when they are in town for your wedding.

Invitation wording can be a daunting task. It’s intimidating to sit down to a blank screen and figure out exactly what you want your invitations to say… and how do you make sure you include all the necessary information? While we’ve already touched on that a bit (and stay tuned, next week we will be sharing our guide to all the information you need to have before you order your invitations), there’s definitely a lot more to cover when it comes to what exactly to say.

What is it?

The reply (or RSVP) card is a small card and self addressed stamped envelope that your guests send back to you to indicate if they are attending or missing your wedding. Its essential purpose is to collect information from your guests, so you know who to expect.

Our most frequently asked question is ‘when should I even start thinking about my invitations?!’  The answer is now. You are probably already behind. JK! You’re doing fine! There are so many different stationery options that there isn’t really one right way to do it. If you are actually super behind, that’s fine too! We can suggest a few different options for getting your invitations out asap.

What is it?

The star of the show! (Well, you are the star of the show, because it is your Big Day, but this is the star of the paper show.) Your invitation sets the tone for your event, and the design gives a hint of what’s to come. The purpose of your invitation card is to give your guests the essential details - who’s getting married, where it’s happening, and what time to show up.

I love postage stamps. I frequently visit the stamp section of the USPS website, and I spend a lot of time putting vintage stamp collections together for hypothetical events - you should email me if you’re having a geology and space themed party because boy do I have a stamp collection just for you.
